Allan Marks is Joint Managing Director and a Principal of Crown & Marks. Allan is widely recognised as one of Australia’s leading executive search consultants whose experience covers a wide range of industry sectors in the Asia/Pacific region.

Allan is an Honours graduate of the University of London in Social Science and Economics and spent four years in the UK Chartered Accounting profession before commencing his twenty plus year career in executive search.

Allan has a strong commercial background in both public and privately owned organisations. This includes the establishment of the Australian operations for one of the world’s largest executive search and selection firms where he was also an international board member. Subsequently, Allan was the Managing Director of one of Australia’s largest, publicly listed executive search and selection firms. Allan also has extensive board experience, including IPOs and acquisitions.

He has successfully managed executive search assignments for boards and senior executive teams in industries covering: banking and investment banking, wealth management and financial services, construction and property, civil engineering, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, media and publishing, retail and professional services and the not for profit sector.

Typical roles Allan has completed include managing director, general manager, non-executive director, chief financial officer, chief operating officer, human resources director, partners and senior specialists e.g. heads of investment, senior project directors and other technical specialists.

In addition to Australia, Allan has led assignments in many parts of the World.

Outside of work Allan is a musician and is a keen skier, runner and an avid football fan.
